During this last year I have altered my hair and beauty routines, experimenting with different products to find the ones that produce the best results. Below is a list of my favourites.
Garnier Pure deep clean cream wash; anti-impurities for sensitive skin
Garnier Pure long lasting shine control moisturiser with sebum control
Crème of Nature (CoN) Argan Oil sulphate free moisture and shine shampoo
Crème of Nature Argan Oil intensive conditioning treatment
GHD Thermal Protector (before blow-drying)
Hawaiian Silky 14-in-1 Miracle Worker (after blow-drying) – For the weekly shampoo
Crème of Nature Argan Oil strength & Shine Leave-in Conditioner – For twice daily hair moisturising
Coconut oil, olive oil, castor oil & jojoba oil (combined) – For sealing in the moisture
My hair has responded extremely well to daily moisturising first thing in the morning and last thing at night with the CoN Argan Oil leave-in conditioner after texlaxing, and shedding has been significantly reduced. I am stretching the relaxer and hair colouring to four months, which will be the end of January.
The length of my hair is still at my collar bone because I trimmed about one inch off the ends, but I am still aspiring to armpit length by next September! I am pleased with the new texture produced by texlaxing as it has body but is much easier to manage than when my hair was totally natural.
Now that I have found hair and beauty products that work well I will be sticking to them and monitoring progress every three months.
